Propaganda maps are used to try and persuade people's opinion of a certain reason. Most places use maps like these in order to make their region better than another region. In this map, Great Britian is showing how they own over one-fourth of the world's land, and Germany barely has any land. This map was used during the war to show people why they should be on the British side and not the German side. The British used propaganda to persuade people of why they are better.
