Standardized choropleth maps are a type of choropleth map that standardizes the information according to a certain area. In the map above, the areas are standardized together so it is easy to see the different colors represented with the different areas. Population per square kilometer is shown with the darker colors showing the more populated areas. Since it is standardized, focusing in on the more populated areas is easier.
